Our family room was an addition built on the back of our house. At the same time, they excavated a small basement. This room was probably the room that sold this house for us! I recently rearranged the furniture and it's still a work in progress.
This is the view from the kitchen . The stairs to the right go to Brianna's bedroom. I'm not crazy about the posts along the stairwall. My mom had the same posts and was brave enough to tear them down. I'm not ready to take that step just yet.
The floors were a linoleum that looked like tile. It was fine but I love the wood floors that Jeremy installed. We have the same flooring in the dining room and kitchen.
And here's Delaney's "playroom". It used to be the doggy area, but we no longer need to keep Buzz in a pen so I thought it would be perfect for toys. I think I'll get some fun window clings to put on the sliding doors.
This is our family computer.
So here's my little desk, chair and bench that I purchased second hand a few weeks ago. I still haven't recovered the seats, but cut me some slack. I just got home from vacation!! I'm going to hang that metal shelf (it's setting on the desk) above the desk. And I'm going to get baskets for the big bookcase where I can store craft and sewing supplies.
After looking at all the neat office spaces a couple of weeks ago, I was inspired to find a spot for ME. I enjoy sewing and have several projects I would like to work on this summer. But I can't bear to drag out my sewing machine and clutter up the dining room. So I'm hoping to use my little corner for such projects.
I'll update again once I've completed MY OFFICE!!
Our big comfy chair and ottoman. And that picture needs to be rehung. After moving furniture, it wasn't in quite the right spot.
The couch and coffee table. I gave up on decorative items on the coffee table. Delaney just kept bothering them.
The couch faces a gigantic eyesore made by Sony which sets in the corner of the room. It's probably Jeremy's favorite thing in this room.
This is hanging on our windows. It's a framed piece of stained glass. Another wonderful score from my grandma when she had her estate sale. It's probably my favorite thing in this room.
So that's it. Where we spend most of our time. Hope you enjoyed the tour and come back next week to see what I'vehopefully done in the master bedroom. (I have too many projects planned!!)

I love the stained glass! My parents have some from my grandparents' farmhouse and I wish they'd DO something with it!
