Happy Fall!

Last weekend we took the girls AppleJack Pumpkin Patch. We had a nice time. The weather was beautiful and other than some mud on our shoes (well, lots of mud on our shoes) it was a perfect day! We went through a corn maze, Jeremy and Brianna went down a huge slide, we fed goats and llamas, ate nachos and funnel cakes and went on a hayride. What more could you want?

Where does the time go?

I've really been MIA!!! Well we're back at school and on a new schedule/routine. Here's what's new:

Nate is in early childhood in the afternoons. It makes our lives so much less hectic for him to go in the afternoon. But he is having trouble staying awake, so we'll see if that gets better.

Bri is in 8th grade and is my little helper around here. She is so great with Delaney. In fact, sometimes I have to fight her for the baby! :-)

Delaney has adjusted well to me being at work. She takes 2 or 3 bottles a day and is eating rice cereal and some fruits and vegetables. I'm pumping at work at that is going well.

Alli is in 7th grade and is cheering. She had a first football game last week. Last week she also broke her arm and now has a cast on her right arm above her elbow. She broke the radius near the growth plate, but went 3 days with a broken arm (playing volleyball in gym and cheering) before we took her to the doctor. Poor kid. She's a tough one!!

Pretty Flowers

This is what I woke up to earlier this week...

Isn't it beautiful? It's the biggest hibiscus I've ever seen. The previous owner had planted everything that's in our garden, so last summer I waited patiently to see what would bloom. I think this hibiscus is my favorite!!!

Busy

We made it home from vacation last Monday. Had a great time (wish I'd taken a picture of our luggage on top of our van). We went to the Newport Aquarium (that's where the picture was taken) and the Cincinnati Zoo. Plus we saw several of our trach family friends.

Alli saw the orthodontist last week. She'll be getting braces in August. I think she's anxious to get them.

Packing...

...and more packing!! We're heading out in the morning for Cincinatti, so today has been busy with last minute errands, laundry and packing. As if it's not hard enough to pack for a family of 6, include a child with exponential amounts of medical supplies and a newborn. Ugggh...what were we thinking??

Actually we're looking forward to seeing old friends once again.

Brown cookies

Most people call them no-bake cookies.
We like to call them brown cookies.
I don't even know who started it...maybe Scott, maybe one of the girls.
Either way, they are a favorite at our house! I had promised the girls I'd make some before they went to their dad's. I think there are only 4 left!! No wonder I can't lose the baby weight!

Summer fun

Is there anything better than hanging out in your swimsuits all day, waiting for the ice cream truck to drive by? I don't think so!!!!
*****
Today was Nate's first day of summer school. I think he liked having something to do during the day. Mom and Dad just aren't that fun!

starting out...

I thought a blog might be a nice way to keep our family and friends updated on our lives. I'm totally new at this so we'll see if I can keep up with it, and 4 kids!!!

Today was Delaney's baby dedication at church. She slept the whole time and looked so pretty in her pink dress. We had lots of family there to support us, but unfortunately Grandma & Grandpa Bowman are travelling most of June so they couldn't be with us.

Also, today is Delaney's 2 month birthday!!
