recovery mode

I’ve spent the last week recovering from a very busy prom weekend. Two proms, 3 hair appointments, photo sessions, etc. Back when I went to prom, we didn’t get our hair or nails done. We did our own make-up. There were no party buses. How in the world did we manage?

With 2 girls going to prom, life was pretty hectic around here. And to top it off, Bri went to prom at another school the night before. Back to back proms = insanity for this mom. Hence the week long recovery.

I don’t know how they can walk in these shoes!! Now I’m really sounding like an old lady…

Delaney did not want to be left out of the excitement of the day!

This is the group of friends that Bri went with. Her date is a friend of hers and they had been at his school’s prom the night before. Talk about tired teenagers!!

These are Allison’s dance team friends. They are both graduating this year. She’s really going to miss them!

Allison’s date was also a friend and classmate.

Allison and Hope have been great friends since middle school.

The prom theme was Atlantis. This was the first year it’s been held at a reception hall instead of the high school.

After the promenade, when we watched all the couples walk the red carpet as they were announced going into prom, these kiddos got into the prom spirit. Nolan was the lucky escort with two dates!

And this is a picture of me and my friends at our senior prom. Notice Delaney is wearing the same dress in the previous photo! It really looks like we could’ve used a little help with our hair that night!

Next event on the agenda…graduation!!!
