Seis de Mayo?

I had planned to make a yummy mexican dinner last night to celebrate Cinco de Mayo...but it just didn't happen. So I decided to have our little fiesta tonight, on the 6th of May. I made green chili enchiladas:



I had to change up the recipe. My original calls for monterrey jack and velveeta cheeses. Well, my dear husband Jeremy is quite the cheese freak...he'll only eat mozzarella and mild cheddar. I never knew anyone who wouldn't eat velveeta. I mean, come on!! So I substituted them both for cheddar, just for him. Isn't that what marriage is all about?

Jeremy reminded me of the first time I fixed these enchiladas (the original recipe). It was soon after we were married and I thought I could trick him. So I buried all the cheese packages in the trash, hid the recipe card and LIED to him. He knew though and was not pleased. So now I sacrifice my processed cheese spread, just so my hubby will eat with me!

Diamonds

I love diamonds and jewelry (who doesn't?)

Well about a month ago I lost the solitaire diamond in my wedding ring. And to add a little salt to the wound...my ring used to belong to Jeremy's great-grandmother!! Nothing like losing a family heirloom. I was just sick about it. We searched and I prayed but I have no idea where I might have lost it. Fortunately, we had some coverage through our homeowner's insurance and it's just the right amount to buy a new gorgeous diamond. The jeweler just called and the diamond is in the store, so I'm off to take my ring in so they can mount the new diamond. When I get it back, I'll flash a little bling on here!

Ok, it's a start

Well one nap later and lots of time on paint.net, I have a blog layout that I can live with for now. I'm so indecisive which makes choosing color schemes, page layouts and backgrounds quite a chore. Thanks for the tips Sera!

Need Tech Support

I'm just not happy with my blog...it's not cute enough for me. And I'm a perfectionist and until it looks the way I want it to look, I'm going to be frustrated!

Jeremy is on the golf course today so I have lots of "me time" (in between the 50 bazillion diaper changes I'll do...ok that was an exaggeration, but you get the picture) so maybe I can get this thing figured out.

I'm baaaack....

Ok, I'm going to try this blogging thing once more. I'm such a blog-stalker; I guess I need to use some of my allotted internet time and update my own blog instead of reading everyone else's!!!

I'm so ready for spring! I'm doing the Walk Kansas challenge. I'm the team captain (a lame one though). You keep track of your exercise and servings of fruits and vegetables. Well I'm totally pulling up the rear in exercise points. My teammates are awesome, but I just can't get motivated to exercise. I love to take Delaney on walks. Sometimes Bri and Alli go with me and it's nice to have that time to chat. But I'm strictly a fair-weather walker. So until the April weather gets straightened out, I'm afraid I'll continue to let my team down.
