On Thanksgiving morning, Delaney awoke to find an elf on the shelf.

I think it’s a good thing he came to our house because a certain little 3 year old needs all the encouragement she can get to stay on the nice list.

I read the Elf on the Shelf book to Delaney and explained that every night while she’s asleep, our elf will report to Santa about her behavior. And the next morning he will be back at our house, watching. (I hope she’s not so creeped out she has nightmares!) We named our elf Dexter.
